Indie Game: The Movie

  1. What are some of the difference between "big games" and "independent games" in terms of style/concepts and how they are made?
Big games are made only for the purpose to sell, to win money and for all the people, instead independent games are made because of a personal goal and a personal point of view, they want to create that game because they like this type of game and it's like a dream for them.

         

        2. What are some of the difficulties the developers in the film had to overcome?

They lost all the things involve with socialisation like friends, girlfriends, partners... they also don't have free time or money to live a normal life. 
Most of them they fall on a depression because of all the things that I said.  


       
        3. What do you think you would like about working on an indie (independent) game? What do you think                   you might not like?

 I wouldn't like to spend 4 years of my life creating a game without doing anything else and without socialising with anyone. It would be depressing.


        4. What is some advice you could offer to someone who is trying to create their own game, based on what            you learned in the film?

Try to do your best, but don't panic you don't have to run to present the game it has to be too good to compete with big games or at least attract to people. 


       5. For the developers, what is the best part of completing the creation of a game?\

Knowing that you created the game that you wanted as you wanted like a dream not the money.

GameMaker - Asteroids - Part C

- What difficulties did you have?  I didn't have any difficulties at all, I had a problem because i putted a + instead of an = but It's because he Spanish keyboards are different. - How did you solve them? I opened the project and it said that I had a problem inside obj_asteroid, obj_player so I went inside it and I just saw that I had a + that was supposed to be a =. - What did you change in your game to make it unique? How do these changes affect gameplay? I changed the sounds the font and the design of the asteroids, it doesn't affect the game but I would like to change the way the asteroids re spawn, only when you kill them all the spawn again and that's easy I would prefer to add 2 asteroids every time you kill one or something like that because it's getting harder. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VByVKLU9x7FHCKsw1AHwFZ40yupf3X1b
